What? Yes, its true! The largest gathering of military women in uniform worldwide, Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium (JWLS), were brought together in Washington D.C. with over 1,000 women and men participating for professional development and networking. I am honored to have served as the host celebrating leadership, introducing our professional development and networking speakers and panel members. Our theme, “Building Bridges, Changing Culture” was integrated across forums, panels, workshops and speaker spotlights. Servicemen and women were from all Department of Defense branches and the US Coast Guard, NOAA, international representatives and civilians to directly address the issues faced by those who serve.
